Each year the community of Alton comes together and has a Sonrise Pageant at the bluffs. The bluffs are located just south of Alton across the bridge. Follow the lighted cross. It may start at 6 am, it may start at 6:30 am, it all depends on when the sun sets. This Sonrise Pageant is an Easter Service that tells the stories of Jesus' birth, ministry, death, and resurrection. Dress warm and bring your lawn chair and blankets. There will be a community breakfast at the Alton United Methodist Church to follow. Bring your favorite breakfast dish to share.
