The Park Project is in full swing, and we're continually amazed by the generosity and dedication of our community members! We want to extend a massive thank you to some incredible individuals who recently made significant contributions to the park's ongoing improvements. First, a heartfelt thank you to our anonymous donor for his incredibly generous donation of four picnic tables for the park. These tables will provide wonderful spots for families and friends to gather, enjoy a meal, and make lasting memories. Of course, tables don't assemble themselves! We're also incredibly grateful to Mike Adams and Debra Rogers for volunteering their time and effort to expertly assemble these new picnic tables. But their contributions didn't stop there! Mike Adams, Ginger Howell, and Debra Rogers dedicated an entire afternoon to a truly special part of the park project: replacing the seats on our beloved vintage Merry-Go-Round. This iconic piece of playground equipment holds so many memories for generations of Alton residents, and thanks to their efforts, it's safer and more enjoyable for everyone. And the improvements are not just happening in one spot! Rex Jonston Construction and Nationbuilders Ministries helped in the Alton Park construction progress. They spent an afternoon relocating and refurbishing some of the old playground equipment. It’s wonderful to see these familiar pieces getting a new lease on life, ensuring children will continue to enjoy them for years to come.
