Youth Valentine’s Party is an annual event for the youth in the community with crafts, games, refreshments, and lessons on community service. Sponsored by Alton PRIDE.

Ladies’ Night Out is an annual event for the ladies in town and surrounding communities to let down their hair and enjoy a different theme each year. Sponsored by Alton PRIDE.

Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 0-12 enjoys finding eggs filled with special treats. Sponsored by Alton PRIDE

Easter Sunrise Service Pageant is the community that re-enacts the Passion Week story of Jesus. Sponsored by Alton United Methodist Church and Mt Ayr Friends Church

Yard of the Month is a monthly contest in December to help promote pride in the community. Sponsored by Alton PRIDE, BCCF, & the City of Alton.

Highway 24 Garage Sales is the annual community garage sale the first weekend of June. Sponsored by Alton PRIDE.

Independence Day Celebration has supper, t-ball/softball, pie and ice cream, and fireworks. Sponsored by Alton PRIDE, City of Alton, RFD #3, Midway Co-op, and Alton United Methodist Church.

Summer Jubilee is on the 4th Saturday of August: Join us for a parade and family-friendly fun all day. Evening events: BBQ, Bull City Opry Co. performance, and street dance. Additional events on Friday & Sunday.

Craft Basket—Check us out on Facebook! Local crafters join together for this Holiday store, which is open on weekends from the first Saturday of November through Christmas. It is located in the Alton Community Room. Contact Cindy Poore at 785-984-8035.

Christmas in Alton is our celebration on the first Saturday of December. Family-friendly activities include the Chocolate Festival, a countdown to turn on the Christmas Light Displays, and a visit from Santa. If you are interested in helping add to our Christmas Light Display, contact Jo Peterson at 785-984-8001.

The Chocolate Festival celebrates Alton's birthplace of Russell Stover. It is part of “Christmas in Alton” on the first Saturday of December.
